Reproductive Scanning
Reproductive scanning can be carrired out for the following reasons:
- Pre- breeding scanning
- Identification of barren cows
- Pregnancy diagnosis
- Estimation of due date
Cow & Heifer Synchronisation plans
Cow and Heifer synchronised breeding plans are beneficial to a herd owner as they allow for breeding animals to come into season at the same time, resulting in a shorter calving interval. The benefits of synchronising heifers include a higher conception rate first time around, a planned calving period, cost efficiency and faccilitates the use of A.I.
There are programmes available for dairy and beef herds. Please contact the office to discuss with our vets, on which synchronisation programme would be suitable for your herd.
Heat Detection
The use of a vasectomised bull is a great aid in identifying when a cow or heifer comes in to season. We offer a bull vasectomy service, please equire in the office to book an appointment.
We have a range of heat detection markers and sprays available in our shop.
