Our practice provides a reproductive scanning services for horses at both our office and call out, depending on the facilities available.
Pre-breeding scanning involves a complete pre-breeding assessment of the mare, and helps identify if the mares uterus and other reproductive organs are healthy and ready for the breeding season. Any issues are identified can then be treated at this stage. It also helps to determine what stage of the cycle that the mare is at.
Scanning for pregnancy diagnosis allows us to determine if the mare is in foal after covering, and determine if there is one or a twin pregnancy.
